Google's googly

Yesterday, I created few blog entries and posted within few minutes. I had to reedit one of them several times due to picture alignment problems; then suddenly, the sanjblog and blogger.com became inaccessible with the “403 Forbidden” error message.

From then, I was not able to access my blog for an hour or so during that period, I went through frustration and thoughts of loosing my blog, homepage, online albums, web email, web application, youtube & orkut entries if THE Google to decide one day to deny the access to my accounts completely.

Few weeks ago, I had a problem connecting to Google search site; the Internet without Google window is very difficult world.

Is dependency on the Google becoming overwhelming? Unfortunately there are not many decent search engines...try yourself, what is the second best search engine?

Knowing alternatives has become more important than ever.

Though, I am not happy with any of these search engines, as none came close to Google in providing good/relevant results. Alternative search engines: Yahoo!, MSN, and Ask Jeeves

I do not have alternatives for blog hosting websites; do you know any good ones (wordpress/typepad)?
