Until recently, I thought Peacock is a type of birds, rather than male gender of Peafowl. Also, I thought, only Indian Peacock (Asian) exists in the world and all are with beautiful blue-green feathers. Wrong again! There is a white peacock too! Check out the pictures, beautiful (click for high-res).

Today morning while browsing through exotic fruits stall, I looked at a fruit and thought ‘wew, that’s ugly!’ What a surprise, that fruit is called 'ugli fruit' and another shocker was it is a fusion (bred 1914, Jamaica) fruit – between a grapefruit and a tangerine!!!

Any more such weird fruit or brand names you know?

Strange. I always thought peahens were white and the males (peacocks) had the colours.
