After Friday 13th

Well, last week on Brainiac, I watched the presenter “scientifically” validate whether the lady luck really exists. Does a black cat crossing the road bring bad luck? The presenter made double the money at a slot machine compare to after he walked under the ladder.

Same way, does writing a blog entry on & about the Friday 13th catches attention of lady luck? May be true; my flight went smooth till reached my end destination as I luggage was misplaced by the air line. I had to wait 4 phone calls and 30hrs before they found it at another airport!
Happy to have my bag back.

Paraskavedekatriaphobia

Wow, that’s a mouthful word. Today, i.e. Friday the 13th, as I was preparing for my flight, a friend of mine from Germany called me up to remind me of his one of the beliefs. Now that I am shaken with his historical facts, I started Googling. Voila, I found this mouthful word coined by Dr. Donald Dossey, who claims that 8% of American’s suffer with this phobia. To comfort of my friend, Germans are not the only ones still believing of the old superstition, Turks expunged with Number 13 from their vocabulary centuries ago. Modern day architects carefully avoided street number 13, floor 13 or flat 13 for years.
Yesterday, I had read Indian government making it compulsory for female employees to publish their menstrual cycles. Today, I found that, number 13 actually represents femininity. Further emphasizing fictional novel Da Vinci Code’s view points, founders of Christianity hated such representations, hence purposefully vilified number 13.
Do you have any friend who has 13 letters in his name? I have one…hello M.T.
(This is my 13th blog of this year, posted on Friday the 13th.)

TiSP: going with Google flow

Yesterday, Google announced the launch of free in home ad supported internet service product TiSP. Commending his TiSP team, co-founder of Google Larry seemed to be very confident of the success of this product.
