Its always been a trend setting example from KSRTC (Karnataka) in introducing and adopting new technologies for public transport! It may be a basic requirement of public transport like adopting new comfortable seats or upgrading ordinary class buses etc. They are also the pioneering and still standing first in India for innovative and constantly upgrading the system in road transport. I still remember the days when we had to mostly dependent on buses for travelling.
In all my travel experience in public transport KSRTC gets upper hand compared to Maharastra, Gujrat, Tamilnadu, AP or Delhi.
Recently I chose to travel by bus to reach Bangalore airport from city. I was surprised to see free internet connection on bus with wi-fi enabled palm screen with few applications. For accessing net, we have to feed in our details and a pass code will be received on your phone. Its really a welcome move. I hope they will definitely improvise on speed and touch screen response time with lots of applications to make a bus ride a joy ride.
